7. Do this exercise three times a week, alternating between running, cycling, and walking. First, do it at high intensity for two minutes, then relax for one minute, then do it at high intensity for two minutes again, and repeat this cycle for 20 to 30 minutes.

8. Buy a body fat monitor, like the TANITA. Daily monitoring of your weight and body fat percentage will show you how effective a particular workout is and how harmful a certain food is.

9. I tried putting only a little bit of food on my plate and found that I could leave the table satisfied without having to eat the whole plate.

10. Drink a gallon of ice water every day. If you can control the frequency of urination, the energy your body uses to heat the ice water to body temperature could help you lose 12 pounds a year.
