Mo Hui's mind and body are filled with contradictions: "I want to be at peace, but my body always makes me uneasy. I feel like I'm covered in excess fat and can't wear athletic shorts or tight clothes at all."

Psychological factors affect physical health

“The psychological gap leads to different perceptions of our bodies,” Elizabeth explained. “We meet some people who only perceive different parts of their bodies, some they like and some they don’t. ‘My hips are okay, but my belly is too big.’ They are constantly aware of themselves and tirelessly ask those around them, ‘Don’t you think I’m still too fat?’ For them, the body has been ‘divided,’ and the gap between their real figure and their ideal figure is extremely wide.”

Re-emphasize weight loss

First, stop caring what others say. I want to be healthy and slim. What I really need to do is face my body squarely, accept its problems, and pay attention to my emotions, body reactions, and the effects of nutrition during the weight loss process.

Don't reject yourself; understand your true feelings and recognize the true meaning of eating. The key is to restore the sensations of hunger and fullness. Some weight loss programs let you eat before you feel hungry, but that won't work; you'll still feel empty after a while. To achieve a lasting slim figure, you must restore the balance between hunger and satiety.
