Research has found that incorporating short rest periods into exercise can significantly improve fat burning rates. Researchers conducted a test on a group of healthy individuals. Each person performed two sessions of aerobic exercise at the same intensity for the same total time: one continuous exercise session and the other with rest periods in between. Their fat metabolism metrics were then measured.
